Brand new to Oraichain? This step-by-step guide will walk you though the basics. If there is anything that you’d like to see add to this lis, let one of our community managers know! Step 1: Create a Wallet

Why does Oraichain have its own non-custodial wallet? Oraichain is building tools for universal asset management, preparing AI tools to make crypto easy across many chains. To make this convenient for users, we have developed OWallet to help you manage tokens across IBC and EVM chains, as well as BTC mainnet (coming soon). If you are more comfortable using Keplr for IBC, thats no problem! You will need to visit one of our dApps and add Oraichain as a custom network. Leap Wallet is also rolling out support for Oraichain in the near future, so keep an eye out for upcoming announcements.

Step 2: Get ORAI

Once you’ve created your wallet on Oraichain, you have a number of options to acquire ORAI tokens:

What can I do with ORAI token and why do I need it? 1. ORAI is the native token for Oraichain mainnet and it is spent to pay gas fees. 2. ORAI is also spent on some key infrastructure costs, including OraiBridge. 3. ORAI can be used to bid on discounted USDC via Co-Harvest (coming soon). 4. ORAI can be delegated to join Oraichain DAO and participate in network security. 5. ORAI can be users to add liquidity on OraiDEX where you can earn real yield from transactions on your pool.

Step 3: Delegate ORAI

Visit Oraiscan and connect your wallet
On the dashboard you will see the validators tab. You can click here to see all of the validators in the active and inactive set.

Alternatively, you can visit https://scan.orai.io/validators directly. As you scroll through the list, you will see the delegate button on the right.

When you choose a validator you will see this screen, where you can choose how much ORAI you will delegate. Once you entered the amount, you simply “click” the delegate button. Your wallet will open in a pop-up and prompt you to pay a small gas fee to process your transaction.

Please note: There is a 14 day unbonding time for all delegation withdrawals. If you’d like to switch validators without unbonding, you can do this by using the re-delegate feature.

Governance: As a delegator, you are an official member of Oraichain DAO and are entitled to vote in any governance proposals that occur on Oraichain mainnet. Please keep up with ongoing governance actions and participate in governance as much as possible.

Why do we call it delegating instead of simply saying staking? Despite some misconceptions, delegating is a very active process, requiring that you monitor your validators uptime and voting history. Be aware, when you delegate your vote, you give your chosen validator the irght to vote for you in the absence of your participation. Also, by delegating, you are actively participating in network security, meaning that you will share the responsibility for validator error, including slashing as a result of jailed and tombstoned nodes.

Step 4: Monitor Delegations and Claim Rewards

Visit here to monitor your delegations: https://scan.orai.io/delegated-validator
On this page, you will find all of your active delegations. You can perform a couple of important actions:

Claim ORAI earned from block rewards
Withdraw your delegation (this will incur a 14D unbonding time)
Re-delegate you ORAI to a new validator node (no unbonding time)

But what if I’m using OWallet mobile? Lucky for you, OWallet has some great built-in functionalities to interact with mainnet. Simply click the “invest” button at the bottom and this will open a screen allowing you to delegate, monitor and claim rewards natively.

Step 5: OraiDEX

If you are interested in exploring Oraichain’s DeFi offerings, OraiDEX is the best place to start: https://oraidex.io
SWAP: Here you will find Universal Swap & Bridge. Simply connect your wallets in the top right corner and you will be able to enjoy one-click swaps between any eligible networks:

SWAP (Bottom): As you scroll down you will see a complete list of all your assets from your connected wallets. Since our product focuses on Universal Asset management, you will find balances from multiple networks all on this list:

BRIDGE: Here you will find a simplified bridging interface for moving assets between supported networks:

POOLS: Here you will find all pools on Oraichain’s AMM with an option to toggle and see your staked LP only. On the right, you will see the “add” button: this will allow you to contribute to liquidity pools in exchange for LP tokens:

DEPOSIT: This pop-up will allow users to add liquidity to pools (50/50) in exchange for LP tokens:

ORDER BOOK: This feature is designed to allow users to simply place limit orders in a non-custodial environment:

FUTURES: The vAMM-powered perpetual futures market allows users to open long and shorts with leverage on OraiDEX. All positions are settled in USDC.

View current balance in USDC on Oraichain
Principle = collateral amount
Choose leverage
TP, SL, Entry Price, Liquidation price and fees
Slippage (protocol is built on vAMM tech, so there is a bit of price impact when you open/close a position)

Co-Harvest Revenue

The benefit of Oraichain’s Co-harvest will be observed broadly throughout the entire Oraichain ecosystem presenting a unique opportunity for all stakeholders, including Ai services providers, validators, traders and of course ORAI holders.

In short, sales revenue is pooled in the Oraichain co-harvest, allowing users to acquire ORAI in order to purchase discounted USDC from auction. All ORAI from winning bids is returned back to the unissued supply for future block rewards.

In the short term, this will help to control stock-to-flow for ORAI token and cut down on dilution. In the long run, this continuous flow of rewards will contribute to Oraichain’s security and decentralization, ensuring that there will always be block rewards for future validators.
